About HappiNest

Our mission

Guided by the principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture, we are committed to improving soil health, enhancing biodiversity, and supporting the well-being of every living system within our farm through a holistic and sustainable approach. Our way of farming goes beyond producing healthy food; it also means strengthening the land we live on and contributing to a balanced ecosystem for future generations.

Regeneration of the soil and the planet

At HappiNest, farming begins with the soil. We enrich it naturally using chicken manure, composted garden waste, and farm by-products, creating a zero-waste cycle where nothing is lost and everything returns to the land. By planting only heirloom seeds, we preserve biodiversity and protect seed heritage for future generations. We also follow polyculture principles — blending fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and companion plants to create a resilient ecosystem where every element supports the other. Every harvest regenerates our soil, strengthens biodiversity, and helps heal the planet — proving farming can be a force for renewal.

Humane and natural animal welfare

Our chickens are at the heart of HappiNest. They live outdoors, foraging freely on fresh pastures, dust-bathing in the sun, and behaving as nature intended. Their role goes beyond egg-laying — they enrich our soil with natural fertilizer and form part of our circular farm system. We are fully transparent about how we care for them, inviting anyone to see firsthand how happy hens create not just healthier eggs, but a healthier farm.

Sustainable, chemical-free farming

We grow without chemicals, hybrids, or shortcuts — just nature’s wisdom and time-tested methods. Our heirloom vegetables thrive through permaculture practices, natural compost, and closed-loop resource use. No pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, no compromise. By choosing sustainability over industrial farming, we protect pollinators, water, and soil while producing food that carries both tradition and true flavor.

Natural, wholesome, and nutrient-rich products

Food from HappiNest is more than fresh — it’s nourishing. Our heirloom vegetables are cultivated for richness in flavor and nutrition, while our free-range eggs boast golden yolks packed with natural goodness. Because we don’t rely on a supply chain, every product comes directly from our farm to your hands. Customers don’t just buy food — they experience it at the source, knowing exactly how it was grown, raised, and harvested.

Transparency, education, and community connection

We open our gates, our methods, and our hearts. Visitors see the full cycle: how we grow with heirloom seeds, how we compost waste, and how we care for our chickens. Through farm visit, workshops, and farm-to-table events, we invite the community to experience farming up close. With no middlemen, no secrets, and no supply chains, HappiNest builds trust by connecting people directly to the source of their food — nature, soil, and living traditions.

About Me

Canan Yaşar

My name is Canan, and I am the founder of HappiNest.

My connection to the land was never a choice — it is a legacy I have carried within me since childhood. I was born and raised in Türkiye, on my family’s farm. My earliest memories are filled with olive groves, animals, and the quiet rhythm of the seasons.

My father was my first teacher. He showed me how to care for animals with compassion, how to plant a seed with intention, and how to live in harmony with nature. That bond has never left me.

Life later led me down a different path. I worked internationally as a human rights lawyer, advocating for children in vulnerable situations. Yet while I was fighting for justice and human dignity in different parts of the world, I always found a way to return to the soil.

Wherever I lived, there was a small garden, a few pots, a seed planted. Growing, nurturing, creating life… I never let go of my connection to the land. Because no matter where I was, it was the soil that nourished my spirit with its quiet wisdom.

In 2017, I moved to Italy to pursue my master’s degree at the University of Padova. Shortly after, a beautiful love story brought me to Meolo. Since 2023, this little corner of Italy has become my home.

To reconnect with my agricultural roots and follow my true passion, I pursued further training in organic agriculture and permaculture. Step by step, the vision of HappiNest became clearer — a farm rooted in compassion, sustainability, and community.

Today, HappiNest extends across 3 hectares of land cultivated with love. Every structure — from our wooden coops to eco-friendly fences — has been built by our own hands, using sustainable materials and a great deal of care and dedication.

At HappiNest, we embrace the principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture. We grow nutrient-rich food, restore the land we live on, and care deeply for every living being. For us, farming is not simply a profession — it is a way of life, grounded in respect, kindness, and a deep connection with nature.

This is not only my story.
It is a shared journey of hope, healing, and harmony with the earth.

Welcome to the nest. 💛

Meet the Support Team

HappiNest is not just my journey — it’s a shared story built together with my husband and close friends who have supported me since day one. Together, we’ve created something beautiful, meaningful, and rooted in community.

Luca

My husband, Luca, is not only a talented carpenter, but someone who loves living close to nature, creating with his hands, and bringing soul to everything he touches. From the very beginning, he has been the strongest supporter of HappiNest — believing in this vision even when it was still just a fragile idea.

Throughout this journey, he has stood by me not only with his physical work, but with patience, encouragement, and unwavering support. He believed in me, motivated me, and continues to remind me to keep going at every step.

Although he works full-time during the week, he dedicates his weekends to the farm — repairing, building, and caring for the animals — always with deep care and quiet dedication.

The wooden structures, coops, and small details you see at HappiNest are not just constructions; they carry his craftsmanship, creativity, and heart. Every piece shaped by his hands has given this farm not only structure, but soul.

Leny

Leny brings with her a valuable family heritage of practical agricultural knowledge, along with a genuine passion for permaculture and life close to nature. Her experience and thoughtful perspective enrich the journey of HappiNest in an authentic and natural way.

From the very beginning, she has stood by us with friendship and enthusiasm. Through shared moments on the farm — from sowing seeds to small projects — her love for animals and nature adds warmth, energy, and vitality to the spirit of HappiNest.

Giovanni

Giovanni has been a valued friend and supporter of HappiNest since the very beginning. As an architect, he offered guidance and technical insight during the planning process of the farm.

His contribution goes beyond drawings and practical advice; he brings a perspective that understands the spirit of a place and values harmony with nature. His interest in regenerative living and sustainable design has been a meaningful source of inspiration throughout our journey.

Today, traces of his thoughtful support can be seen in the balanced and conscious structure of our farm.
